He practices in the Kikko Matsumoto style (KMS) acupuncture and Korean Saam acupuncture systems.

With this strong background in psychology, biology, and classical Chinese medicine, Daniel is an expert in mind-body studies and natural healing practices. Through combining his skill as a medical practitioner, certified yoga instructor, medical Qi Gong doctor, and herbal medicine, he teaches his clients how to regain balance in their daily lives through the usage of diet, breathing, movement, meditation and a daily cup of tea. Daniel uses the tools of acupuncture, bodywork, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, nutritional therapy, and Qi Gong to empower and heal his clients.

Roxanne began her journey in the healthcare industry as a Peabody High School student in the first responder program; when she graduated in 1999 she had gained enough skills to become a first responder. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in General Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004 – in the areas of Human Resources and Marketing. Along with a passion for helping people, she has always been an entrepreneur, artist, and community activist.

After college, Roxanne went on to work in a variety of fields - a testament to her creativity and love for community. Somewhere along this journey she found massage therapy and fell in love with it. In 2007 she started a Massage Therapy certification program, and has been practicing as a Massage Therapist ever since.

Roxanne has been a Level III comprehensively certified Classical Pilates instructor through Peak Pilates since 2013. in addition, she is certified as an Integral Yoga Hatha Level 1 Instructor and has taken additional training through YogaFit. Due to her many other certifications and trainings in various fitness techniques, she recognizes one of the biggest challenges to people staying with a workout regimen is knowing what to do outside of the gym or studio. Therefore, she enjoys tailoring her training sessions to the individual by working in the client’s real life environment with the tools available to them.

While always being a “lightworker” by nature, she attained her Reiki attunements, and has been a certified Reiki Master since early 2022.

The combined knowledge she has gained of people’s strengths, weaknesses, and imbalances; the ways that the body, mind, “spirit”, past and present, heredity, rest, and nutrition are all connected; the patterns she came to recognize between the ways we are in training vs. the way we are in life; the patterns and methods of healing she found in her own self-exploration and study; and all of the different modalities she is trained in – have helped her to develop her own unique mind-body therapy style she calls Illumine Bodywork.

When you book a massage session with her, you will truly be experiencing holistic wellness.

Dan Gehret has 20 years of experience as a massage therapist and bodyworker. His formal education includes the US Career Institute’s Massage Therapy Program in Fort Meyers, Colorado, and the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy.

Over the years, Dan has developed a varied mix of bodywork techniques and modalities to use with his clients, and is able to pull from several strategies in order to facilitate healing in his clients. Dan first became interested in bodywork when he began using Trigger Point Therapy to combat his own constant pain. He then began to work with others and realized he gained a deep satisfaction in helping them. Experiencing that traditional massage techniques of treating “muscle knots” generally resulted in temporary relief, he began to find gentler techniques that created longer-lasting relief. Not only did these release “knots”, they could also treat non-muscular issues (see “conditions treated”).

Through his journey of education in the fields of physical therapy, psychology, and nursing, Dan gained an ability to understand clients who had complicated problems. Today, Dan continues to pursue his passion for helping those who have already tried “everything” by frequently receiving advanced training in the latest hands-on treatment methods.

Dan now practices a variety of techniques including: Fascial Counterstrain, Barral’s Manual Therapies, and Craniosacral Therapy. He is also well-trained in trigger point therapy and is certified in Neural Reset Technique (NRT). Dan's current practice focuses entirely on Holistic Bodywork techniques and treatments found nowhere else within the Southwest Pennsylvania region.

What to Expect

Congratulations on starting on your path with WAY Wellness. By choosing our practice, you’ve taken a great step toward a more balanced, healthy lifestyle. The holistic modalities practiced by our team of specialized experts have helped thousands of people regain and maintain their health.

Since these systems of health care may be different than other care you’ve received, it’s only natural to have questions. Read on to find out what to expect – and how to get the most out of your treatments.

Holistic medicine and your health

Modalities offered by our practitioners take a holistic, or whole-body, approach to health. This means your practitioner will take into account your whole self, not just your symptoms, in order to get to the root of your health concerns. You will work together to find out how factors like your lifestyle, emotional, and mental well being may be affecting your health.

Getting the chance to really discuss your health concerns with your care provider – and having your provider really listen – may be new to you. Think of it as your opportunity to form a partnership for better health. The more you take part in your healing process, the more successful it will be.

Your first visit

Initial visits generally take longer than follow-up appointments, depending upon the type of treatment you are receiving. Your practitioner will take a detailed health history and complete a physical exam. During this visit they will also provide you with your unique treatment plan, created in partnership with you.

During your fist exam, your practitioner will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns. You may be asked a wide range of questions about your symptoms, eating, exercise, sleep habits, and emotional states – anything that may offer insight into your health.

Your practitioner will also employ diagnostic tools that are unique to the modalities and techniques they practice.

Your role in the healing process

Your actions are a key component of your treatment plan. Focusing on your health and committing to a healthy lifestyle are the best steps you can take for your well-being. Together, you and your practitioner can heal your imbalances and help you achieve harmony and balance.

Even after your symptoms are resolved, holistic medicine can assist you in maintaining your health, and possibly prevent future imbalances. The more you incorporate preventative self-care into your life, the more you’ll learn to nurture your body, mind, and spirit.

Holistic Medicine is not an Instant Fix

True healing takes time and dedication. Depending on your current health and symptoms, you could feel better right away, or you may need treatments for weeks, months, or years to achieve the results you want. Your practitioner can give you an idea of what to expect. With a little patience and an open mind, you’ll be on your way to health and vitality.

By taking the right steps and planting the seeds of health, you are on the road to a healthier you!

What is Health?

True health is more than just not feeling sick. It means that you are functioning at your highest possible level. Your body is in harmony, your mind is alert, and your spirit is calm. You have the energy you need to get the most out of life. Each aspect for your whole self is strong and balanced.

Planning for a Healthy Future

Taking the time for wellness care doesn’t just result in better health today – it can affect your future. Think ahead 10 years. How do you want to feel? Now imagine yourself in your twilight years, enjoying the wisdom you’ve worked to achieve.

The decisions you make now will have a direct impact on your future. So make the choice to invest in your body, mind, and spirit with WAY Wellness. With the help of our highly experienced and skilled practitioners, you’ll be on your way to a healthier tomorrow.
